November 2019 ༄ 2nd month in Reșița
On Arrival, Teambuilding weekend, new housemates...
November started in the best of ways! We left for Bucharest to attend the On Arrival Training with my crazy friends/housemates/EVS colleagues Gizem and Carolina. It was a week filled with fun and learning. We met loads of volunteers from everywhere, even countries I honestly cannot place on the map LOL. We all had the chance to share our own personal experiences with volunteering, talk about our projects, living situation, and the new adjustments we had to make in order to adapt to our new lives in Romania. Our trainers were super nice, especially Cristi, and they made us feel very comfortable. Also, our group grew very tight over the week, and we even hanged out together in the evenings, exploring the city together and hitting the famous pubs and clubs in the center of Bucharest. I will forever remember the night we rented electric mopeds and rode them back to the hotel, it was great!

Later in the month, we all left for a teambuilding weekend in Coronini, near the border with Serbia. The place was beautiful, and the activities we did were interesting and inspiring. Having this time to bond with each other was good for us as a group; afterwards, I felt so much closer to all the other volunteers, and I genuinely feel like I got to know everyone much better. Hopefully, this will allow us to work better as a team and get along more easily moving forward. Here are some pics from our time there!

Finally, we got a new housemate for the newly-renamed Mushroom apartment in November! His name is Spyros, he is from Greece, and he is a very nice (though opinionated) guy. He fit in naturally with us, and we already feel like he's part of the family! I look forward to meeting new people, having more adventures and doing creative activities with the kids!
